Conveyancing - Ensuring A Successful Transaction

Buying or Selling a Property?

Whether you are buying or selling a home or business, or entering into a lease we can check your contract and attend to all the necessary steps required for a successful transaction. We strongly recommend that you have the contract checked before you sign it.

For most people, buying or selling a house will be the most important legal transaction they will be involved in.

Buying a Property

If you are buying a property, your Solicitor will:

  • Check the contract BEFORE you sign to ensure the conditions of sale are appropriate for your circumstances
  • Investigate the title and plan of the land to see that it is clear from easements, caveats and other encumbrances, and make all other necessary searches on your behalf
  • Advise you of any zoning and planning regulations or other restrictions affecting the property
  • Prepare all necessary documents, arrange for them to be properly signed, stamped and registered
  • Communicate with your Financier to arrange necessary requirements for settlement
  • Complete settlement on your behalf and arrange for you to receive the keys to your new house.

Although a Conveyancing transaction may seem straight forward it is very important that you engage a solicitor to act on your behalf as it involves an enormous amount of knowledge of contract law, current government legislation and the of requirements of your financier.

Selling a Property

If you are selling a Property, your Solicitor will:

  • Check the contract BEFORE you sign to ensure the conditions of sale are appropriate for your circumstances
  • Arrange for the repayment and proper legal discharge of any mortgages on your property
  • Attend at the settlement of the sale on your behalf
  • Make sure you are paid in full and that all outstanding government charges have been paid or accounted for
  • Inform the necessary authorities of the sale and supply them with the required details of the transaction.

Although a Conveyancing transaction may seem straight forward it is very important that you engage a solicitor to act on your behalf as it involves an enormous amount of knowledge of contract law, current government legislation and the of requirements of your financier.
